Find out about the Sun Salutations (classic surya namaskar, surya namaskar A and B) cornerstone sequences in vinyasa flow yoga. You will learn about what these offer the body through a focus on the alignment of the poses, a recognition of how synching the breath with the movement and how the energetic locks (bandhas) within the body help the benefits of the salutations — and yoga practice overall – come to fruition. We will look at each student’s sun salutations, prescribing modifications and refinements within the poses, according to what is needed for each individual at the present time.
