Yelapa, Mexico
January 16 - 22, 2016
Join Ambika and Leah for 7 days and 6 nights in Yelapa, Mexico, just 45 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta by water taxi.
The town of Yelapa has no roads that lead into it creating a perfect sanctuary to enjoy your yoga practice, the surrounding natural beauty, and general relaxation.
Yoga
Two yoga classes will be offered a day, one taught by each teacher.
This retreat is for students in relatively good physical condition, who have a basic familiarity with Vinyasa Flow Yoga’s commonly used asanas and transitions.
Food
Los Naranjos provides three meals a day using local, fresh tropical fruits and vegetables, and farm-raised meats. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available.
Accommodations
As boasted on the retreat site web- page, “All accommodations are unique and comfortable, with thatched roofs that harmonize with the surroundings and open walls to let in the cool jungle breezes. Beds are suspended from the ceiling and have mosquito nettings. Fresh, safe drinking water is provided at bedside. Bath facilities have rosewood countertops, ornate tile sinks, and hot water. Rustic elegance!” Please visit their website to see pictures of all casita options. Please request any room or roommate preference(s) on your registration sheet, as well as any other accommodation requests. We will do our best to accommodate them. All casitas enjoy the peace and beauty of Yelapa.
For more detail on room offerings, visit the Los Naranjos website
Excursion to Tecomata
Tecomata.- This is the beach past the town of Pisota which is a 10 minute boat ride from Yelapa.
Upon arrival, we will take a 40 min hike along the jungle and one side of the river that leads us to a beautiful waterfall with a big swimming hole that has rocks 30 feet high to dive from (at your own risk). Once we return to the beach, lunch will be provided by Rosa and Pancho, locals from Pisota, cooked traditionally in a clay stove.
